Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan has officially begun shooting for his much-anticipated next film, Naagzilla, and fans can’t keep calm! The actor took to Instagram on Saturday, November 1, 2025, to share a heartwarming picture from the film’s muhurat shot — marking the beginning of an exciting new cinematic journey.
In the image, Kartik displays his characteristic smile while holding up a Naagzilla clapperboard. The clapperboard, marked with a haldi teeka, suggested they had performed (prior to shooting) a puja ceremony, which is regarded as a holy, auspicious way to signify the start of filming a movie in India.
In addition to the photo, Kartik captioned the post to excite his fans: “1 Year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 Day 1 of #Naagzilla Har Har Mahadev 14th August 2026.”
The post not only celebrated one year of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 but also revealed that Naagzilla is slated for release on August 14, 2026 — making it a major Independence Day weekend release.
If you’re curious, the film will feature Kartik in a new form as an Ichchadhari Naag called Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand — said to include mythology, enigma, and mass entertaining twists.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Naagzilla is reportedly one of Kartik’s most ambitious projects to date and one of the first to be under the Dharma Productions banner. Filmed in theory with divine vibes, mythological twists, and a Bollywood twist, the Naagzilla looks to slither its way into its fans’ hearts!
