Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday will make their return to the big screen on December 25, when their romantic drama, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, is released earlier than initially planned.
The movie was initially set for a December 31 release. Now, however, director Sameer Vidwans, wants audiences to feel the holiday vibe of love, laughter and music. Aaryan and Panday broke the news on Instagram, posting the poster of the film with their statement, ”I’m coming again!! This time CHRISTMAS 25th DECEMBER #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri.”
After nearly a year, this is the second time the pair would reunite, in addition to having starred together in Pati Patni Aur Woh, which grossed over ₹100 crore and starred like-Pednekar. In Tudi Meri main Teri, the on-screen couple would be seen dancing on a tune provided by Vidwans, who directed Aaryan again in Satyaprem Ki Katha.
Neena Gupta and Jackie Shroff also join the cast to elevate it’s star power. The production company stated that promotional activity would begin soon to launch its pre-Christmas campaign!
By moving the release date, the film is also set up for a box-office battle against Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis, creating a higher intensity of what looks to be one of Bollywood’s biggest festive clashes yet. Because the Christmas weekend generally sees a high volume of audience turnout, this is being viewed as a savvy move — and Tu Meri Main Tera could be in pole position as the year draws to a close.
