Harshvardhan Rane, basking in the glory of his recent action-romance Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, has confirmed his association with one of Bollywood’s finest action franchises – Force. The announcement sent fans spiralling into excitement when the actor had confirmed it via a heartfelt social media post.
He had posted a simple photo on Instagram, of himself in a traditional dhoti while praying at Trimbakeshwar Temple in Maharashtra. He then announced, “John Abraham locks Harshvardhan Rane for taking the FORCE franchise forward, under him.”
He shared immense gratitude to John Abraham, who has starred in, and produced, the first two Force films. He had expressed his heartfelt thanks with the following, “All I can do at this moment is to thank this angel of a man called John Sir, while I look up and thank whomever is doing this from up there. Can’t wait to start shoot in March 2026. (No other details till I start the shoot.)”
The Force franchise is known for its action sequences and emotional weight, and the first film came out in 2011, directed by Nishikant Kamat. John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza starred in the initial film, which received a cult following for its concise story and stylized action. In 2016, Force 2 was released under Abhinay Deo and introduced a new, second, main character who was played by Sonakshi Sinha. It was an espionage thriller with high stakes and developed the pre-established universe further.
The next film, dubbed Force 3, is expected to launch the franchise into a new chapter of excitement. Plot details are currently under wraps for Force 3, but including Harshvardhan Rane will definitely renew its energy and intensity, both qualities presented in his previous roles along with whatever is necessary for the role played in the future.
Rane has already had a remarkable year, stated earlier with the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam a romantic drama starring Rane which came earlier in the year. Already the box office is showing good reactions to his latest film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat. His next project is Silaa which stars Sadia Khateeb and Karan Veer Mehra and is currently being made in the themes of fantasy-action-romance, which is generating talk to audiences.
Filming for Force 3 is expected to start in March 2026, which the audience will expect even longer to complete.
