Ruhaanika Dhawann, widely recognized for her role as young Ruhi Bhalla in the popular Star Plus TV series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, is celebrating a major academic achievement. The 17-year-old scored an impressive 91% in her Class XII International Baccalaureate (IB) exams, with results declared on May 20.
Reflecting on her success, Ruhaanika shared with Hindustan Times, “I am thrilled to have scored 91% in my boards. I put in a lot of effort, even pausing my acting career for three years to prioritize my studies, and now I feel it was worth it.”
She also expressed gratitude towards her parents, who have always supported her dreams. “My parents believed in me, and I feel proud to have lived up to their faith. While many actors my age continued working on projects, I chose to dedicate myself fully to my education,” she said.
Having completed her A-levels under the Cambridge curriculum, Ruhaanika has developed a keen interest in business and economics. She plans to pursue a degree in economics, potentially complementing it with a minor in international relations or entrepreneurship.
Looking ahead, Ruhaanika confirmed that she will remain in India for the time being, a decision made with her parents’ guidance. “They feel I’m still too young to live independently abroad, and I agree. Plus, I want to stay close to my first passion—acting,” she explained.
Apart from her TV fame, Ruhaanika has appeared in films like Salman Khan’s Jai Ho and Sunny Deol’s Ghayal Once Again. She also made headlines in 2023 when, at just 15 years old, she purchased her first home.
Sharing the milestone on Instagram on January 1, 2023, she wrote, “With the blessings of Waheguru ji and my parents, I’m sharing my happiness with you all… To new beginnings!! My heart is full, and I’m incredibly grateful. I have achieved a huge dream—buying a home on my own. This means a lot to me and my family. I couldn’t wait to share this with you.”
Ruhaanika remains optimistic and determined about her future, confident that this achievement is only the beginning of her journey to success.
